Photographer, collagist, ceramicist

The beauty of the natural world inspires me to flesh out its mysteries in images that evoke a sense of wonder. My current series of underwater photos was created during the isolating and tumultuous events of the last 3 years. I found myself drawn to another world. In going below the surface of ponds and lakes I was seamlessly pulled to a quieter, deeper place of self. The physical immersion into this new environment embraced body and soul. Here, submerged, there was no room for fear or doubt. Dancing lilies welcomed me, courted my eyes to view light and connection. Budding life from muddy depths grew upwards past dying flowers that swayed gently in the current. They grew toward the light. There was a profound sense of balance here that filled me. The under surface of the water became a new sky to behold, reflect and reframe the inner and outer world.
